Yay For Friday!!

Today we have several YouTube mixes for your listening pleasure! Personally, I love music – but y’all surely knew that already, right? 🙂

I found that when I switched over from playing the “regular radio” or my old CD mixes from college, to listening solely to Christian music throughout the day, my attitude, my outlook, my day was radically changed! Seriously, you just would not believe the difference it makes – unless you’re already on the bandwagon!

One thing I will admit, I “missed” in the beginning was ‘dance’ music. Sometimes doing a cardio workout to a worship song isn’t the easiest. But lo’ and behold, I discovered that the Christian genre of music included many many many different styles of song!! So, below, we have provided for you several ‘mixes’ of some of the best (in our humble opinions) contemporary Christian out there.

Don’t roll your eyes or think “Ugh, I don’t like listening to that kind of music!” – You just might surprise yourself…or HE may surprise YOU.

And this one, well, just because it’s awesome!

All I could think about was our sweet fur-babies… Oh, pets are SUCH a blessing!

Good Morning Friday Folks!

Today I have the pleasure of sharing some wonderful things with you! While very different, I have a slight suspicion your day might be enhanced by both the post I am about to share with you and the website (and/or Apple App) that follows:

1. Something must be in the water. I have a very sweet cousin who is a fellow Christian blogger (and fashion junkie!). While the following post is from November, it is no less relevant for today or any day, and is a great reminder for each of us about what true beauty really is and how to become truly beautiful. It brought me back to this verse from 1st Samuel when the Lord is showing the prophet Samuel who will be the next king of Israel:

1 Samuel 16:7

7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t be impressed by his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. God does not view things the way men do. People look on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

What a beautiful (no pun intended!) thought, and a wonderful way to bless others with your inner self! Take a moment to read the post from Flawless Faith below:

I think it’s safe to safe both my cousin, Emily, (and her sweet pup, Roxy!) are beautiful both inside and out!

2. If you haven’t heard about Calm yet, click the link immediately! This website has soothing images set to corresponding music or nature sounds, and you can use a “Guided Calm” or a timer setting to personally tailor your ‘calming’ experience! I love this site for a crazy day at work, or when I get home and need a moment of quiet! And what’s even better? For you Apple folks, there is an iPad/iPhone App, as well – just don’t use it while driving!!!

Happy Friday Y’all!!!

I haven’t been this excited for a Friday in awhile, but between the fact this week has seemed a few extra days long for some reason, and that my husband is going to be home today, I am ecstatic!!! Ladies, if you have the privilege of spending every evening with your husband, or if you are dating and have the pleausre of seeing your significant other on a daily basis, consider yourself blessed and say a quick prayer of thanks right now.

Someone recently said, “Oh, it must be nice to have a break from each other!”

No ma’am, that is not the case. Spending 3-4 days apart at a time every single week? Not fun.

But I digress… (per usual). 🙂

Happy Friday To All Of You!

Hopefully, your week has been wonderful and you are looking forward to a relaxing weekend – I know all of you are completely finished with your Christmas shopping and decorating…right? 🙂

Well, if perhaps, I might be incorrect in my assumption, take a few minutes to relax now in preparation for a crazy weekend! Fridays around here are going to be casual. Today, for instance, I have included links below to two relatively fresh stories – both good for discussion.

First, as I’m sure you’ve heard/read by now: Pope Named Time’s Person of the Year

Personally, I think this is wonderful news – Time Magazine’s cover for Person of the Year hasn’t seen a Christian religious leader’s face since Pope John Paul II in 1994 and prior to that, Pope John XXIII in 1962. As we discussed yesterday, as true followers of Christ, shouldn’t we be revolutionizing the world on a daily basis? Not so that Time Magazine notices, but so the Lord does.

Now there’s an over-dinner-conversation starter for your weekend! And here’s one more, on the lighter side…

The Toughest Tongue Twister?

Can you say that 10 times fast? Maybe this conversation starter is for after dinner, when your mouth isn’t full! 😉
