My Choice Monday

A Monday Vlog: My Everyday Make-Up Routine

MondaySpring

Good Morning Folks!

We’ve been hiding out for a few weeks – mostly because we have been crazy swamped! Craig has been in Texas practically the entire month of March and work has been busy. I pulled two nine hour days in the office last week – and that doesn’t include the two hours of travel time on either end. Craig has only been ‘home’ for one weekend this month, so the only time we have seen each other is as I am leaving the house at 6am, and when I finally make it back home around 7pm…until I fall fast asleep by about 9pm.

That does not an easy relationship make. To say the least, it’s been a tough month.

So to lighten things up, and because I had some free time on Saturday morning, I decided to make a much-awaited VLOG. 🙂 A lot of people – some via social media but most in person  – ask about the make-up I wear. I am no professional by any stretch of the imagination, but I do have a *little bit* of practice and have tried and tested every brand and product under the sun.

So…without further ado, I have included my vlog below. **If you are reading this post via e-mail, you can watch the video, by clicking or tapping (via tablet/iPad) the image below. For those of you who are menfolk, I included a background soundtrack of some of my favorite Christian worship songs…So there’s something for everyone!**

Eeeek! I am still freaking out just a little bit over the fact I just unleashed by ‘no make-up selfie’ to the world. Yikes!!

Any questions, comments, something I left out? Feel free to comment below or send me a message!

And stay tuned for later this week…I have a feeling my precious Texan husband might decide to post… 😉

Food For Thought Friday

A Great “To-Go” Recipe FOr Kids (& Some Adults)

Friday2

Good Morning Folks!

We have a fun recipe for y’all today – Vlog Style! It was fun getting to pretend I had my own Food Network or Cooking Channel show for a little bit! 😉 Of course, you’ll need to view this video in a browser. So, if you received this post in an e-mail, simply click on the title (in blue) at the top of the e-mail, and you will be redirected to the website, which will enable the video to be played.

Wasn’t that such a quick and easy “semi-homemade” fix? I made these for Craig to take on his trip for simple, portable meals and they worked out great! He loved them and they are simple to make and easy to pack for lunch! All of you pilots’ wives out there, keep this one in mind! 🙂

Happy Friday and have a wonderful weekend everyone! We are off to Portland tomorrow for the day, and we’ll be sure to snap a few pictures to share next week!

Thirsty For Christ Thursday

Encounter!

Thursday

{To View The Video Below, Please Open This Post In A Browser By Clicking The Title (If Opening Within An E-Mail)}

We would absolutely truly appreciate your prayers during this time. We are so excited to see what God is going to do this weekend and how He will touch and change our lives!

Galatians 1:13-20

The Message (MSG)

13-16 I’m sure that you’ve heard the story of my earlier life when I lived in the Jewish way. In those days I went all out in persecuting God’s church. I was systematically destroying it. I was so enthusiastic about the traditions of my ancestors that I advanced head and shoulders above my peers in my career. Even then God had designs on me. Why, when I was still in my mother’s womb he chose and called me out of sheer generosity! Now he has intervened and revealed his Son to me so that I might joyfully tell non-Jews about him.

The Apostle Paul’s encounter with Christ completely changed the entire course of his life, and we know that God can – and will! – reach out and dramatically alter our hearts, minds and souls to advance His kingdom – If we only open our hearts to Him, and say YES.

Until Monday, we bid you farewell! Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there, especially ours and the two NEW SOON-TO-BE DADS in our life – Mike & JW!!! All our love!

Don’t just read the text – Watch the video! Much to satan’s chagrin, I finally was able to record and upload our amazing story and it’s one you will not want to miss.
